A view of her in all her splendor! For a list of the major work that we have done to her, please scroll to the bottom of this page.
There is 14' of open space for passengers, and a 6" cabin for the things that need protection from the elements. The back-to-back seats fold out into flat benches.
The engine compartment has been completely rebuilt to hold all the weight you could possibly put on it. (We had to make sure that three 250-plus pound guys could sit for hours while waiting for that salmon to strike!)
The upper deck has been refinished with an attractive and functional non-skid coating to prevent unintended dips into the lake while retrieving mooring ropes or tending anchors. And, yes, the air horns work too!
The trailer is stock (built for the boat) and built like a tank. Those high sides and hull shape make her the most stable craft on the lake.
The swim platform is teak and strong enough to support any of those 250-plus pound guys referenced earlier when he reaches too far netting that salmon and needs to get back in the boat. Also a great place for that over-sized cooler. The OMC stringer-outdrives have had every single O-ring, seal and gasket replaced at least once. The props are new, and those hydrofoil plates make her jump right out of the water on a plane immediately.
Here's another view of that engine compartment. I know we've seen this image before, but just wait for the next one....
There they are! In seconds you can have total access to these newly rebuilt 1983 Buick 3.8-liter V-6's. Go ahead and scour the Internet, but you won't find another twin engine craft like this . . . one-of-a-kind!!! You'll have to refer to the list of work on the bottom of this page to appreciate them, but they do purr!
She was also stored with care for the winters. The two images below show how she was kept in such good shape. Also notice the supports under the rear end of the trailer to relieve the pressure from the tires and springs.
Between the "double-tarping" and the steep angle, the elements were kept out during the winter months.
Here's the list of the major work we did over the course of a decade:
- Two custom-built 1983 Buick 3.8L engines with less than 100 hours running time.
- Updated HEI ignition systems.
- Matching rebuilt 2-barrel Rochester carburetors (cleaned and stored indoors every winter).
- Rebuilt OMC "stringer-drive" outdrives.
- New instrumentation (oil pressure and temperature gauges) added for each engine.
- Teak swim platform.
- Entire top deck refinished with non-slip vinyl coating.
- New seats which fold out into benches.
- New bimini top for comfortable shade.
- Completely redesigned engine compartment which allows unrestricted access to the engines for maintenance.
- New propellers and hydrofoil plates.
- New starters, alternators and fuel pumps.
- Extensively re-wired.
- Replacement trailer tires and lights.
- Mounting board for down riggers.
